Michener Art Museum
The James A. Michener Art Museum is an institution primarily dedicated to the exhibition and preservation of Delaware River Valley art. Evolving greatly since their past life as a 19th century prison, their team wanted to highlight all of the history, growth, and locality that makes Michener so special through a rebrand. From a refined design system to a thoughtful web experience, their new identity solidifies their position as a leader in the local arts scene and beyond.
My role in this project was crafting everything from initial concepts through execution of all brand touch points and brand guidelines, as well as art directing the website redesign process.

Inspired by the archways seen throughout their ground’s architecture and exhibited work, a multi arch “M” icon captured the history at the heart of Michener while representing the idea of something extending out and evolving further.
the website
After establishing Michener’s visual identity, we entirely restructured and redesigned their previously outdated website. A new site map & architecture, more intentional content, and their new design system of brought their digital presence to life.
